University of Oslo, 2006-2007.

  • A master student at the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law. Attending the Master of Laws in Information and Communication Technology Law (LLM), in addition to the masters degree at Reykjavik University. The LLM is 90 ECTS and is constructed of the four major subjects in the field as well as a 30 ECTS thesis.
  • The subjects are (15 ECTS each): Intellectual Property and Information Tecnology in a European and International perspective; Electronic Communications Law and Internet Governance; E-Commerce Law; and Privacy, Data Protection and Lex Informatica.
  • Scheduled graduation: 2007

Reykjavik University, 2005-2007.

  • A master student at Reykjavik University's School of Law (ML). The ML is 120 ECTS which is constructed of elective subjects (90 ECTS) and a thesis (30 ECTS). My emphasis in the ML master study is on Information and Communication Technology Law. Main interests: Media Law; Commercial Communications; E-Commerce and E-Government; and Electronic Communications Law.
  • Scheduled graduation: 2007.

Reykjavik University, 2002-2005.

  • BA in Law from Reykjavik University. First grade.
  • Finished a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law parallel to my bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In addition to traditional legal subjects, Reykjavik University's School of Law has a strong emphasis on practical application of legal theory through the study of cases and practical project work.
  • At the end of the first year I partook in the creation of an extensive Business Case in cooperation with the School of Business as a practical project, and at the end of the second year the project was to attempt negotiations of a contract and then try that case in moot court.

Reykjavik University, 2001-2005.

  • BSc in Business Administration from Reykjavik University. First grade.
  • Started my BSc studies as a part-time student in the fall of 2001 but switched to full-time at the beginning of 2003. Reykjavik University's School of Business has an extensive emphasis on interactive lecture methods with practical case studies and intensive group work. The largest projects related to the study were: Conference organisation, creation of extensive strategic policy for an existing company and an extensive Business Case creation.
  • My thesis was on Commercial Communications, or how freedom of speech restricts the creation and/or the display of Advertising. Mark: 9.0/10.

University of Iceland, 1995-1999.

  • Finished 146 ECTS out of 300 ECTS towards Candidate Juris degree at the University of Iceland.

The Directorate of Tax Investigations in Iceland, 1998 og 1999.

  • Study related work. Experienced both the main methods and actions in investigating alleged breach of the Tax legislation as well as the writing and construction of documentation relating to the directorate's claims for penalty procedures.

Garðabær College, 1992.

  • Matriculation Examination with emphasis on languages, 1992.
  • Awards for outstanding grade in German on matriculation exam and an outstanding achievement in English.
